KAI: Anak Krakatau Eruption Does Not Impact Train Services

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 2 Bandung has ensured that the eruption activity of Mount Anak Krakatau has no impact on train travel operations or passenger services within the Daop 2 Bandung region.

Kuswardojo, the Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 2 Bandung, stated on Sunday that train operations in the Daop 2 Bandung area are currently running normally, with no disruptions caused by the eruption activity of Mount Anak Krakatau.

However, the company is continuously monitoring the developments of Mount Anak Krakatau’s activity and coordinating with relevant parties, including the BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency), as part of efforts to ensure the safety of train travel and passenger security.
