REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has stated that all long-distance train (KA JJ) services are operating normally without any cancellations on Thursday (30/4/2026). KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba said that the service recovery process is ongoing and showing positive developments. “During this operational adjustment period, train services may still experience slight delays,” Anne said in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday (30/4/2026). KAI, Anne continued, is continuously making gradual operational adjustments while prioritising safety and smooth travel. She stated that KAI is ensuring services can return to normal while fulfilling customer rights. “We apologise for the inconvenience experienced by customers. During this recovery process, we ask for understanding if trips still experience delays. KAI continues to strive for smooth service and to ensure customer rights are met,” Anne added. In line with the on-site handling process, KAI also provided updates on the handling of customers’ lost belongings. As of 30 April 2026 at 08.30 WIB, Anne reported that 85 items have been found. “Of that number, 38 items have been handed over to their owners, while the remaining 47 are still in the process of being handed over,” Anne said. Anne explained that the items found by evacuation officers on the Commuter Line No. 5568A trainset have been handed over to Passenger Service officers at Bekasi Timur Station for recording and safekeeping. She advised users, families, or relatives who believe they have lost items to come directly to Bekasi Timur Station and contact the Lost and Found service for the retrieval process. “KAI ensures that every stage of recovery is carried out carefully and measured so that train services can operate safely,” Anne said.
