KAI Accelerates Bogor Station Development to Support 12-Car KRL Trains

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), in collaboration with the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transport, is accelerating the development of Bogor Station to support the operation of 12-car Commuter Line (SF12) train sets. This initiative is designed to increase service capacity in response to the steadily growing number of passengers on the Bogor Line in recent years.

KAI President Director, Bobby Rasyidin, stated that the expansion work on platforms 6, 7, and 8 at Bogor Station is progressing ahead of the established target. The project, which commenced on 15 April 2026, is slated for completion by July 2026. Rasyidin noted that the accelerated progress is positive news, as it allows for a timely increase in service capacity to meet the growing mobility needs within the Bogor Line corridor.
