Kaesang to Accompany Jokowi on Lampung Visit Tomorrow

Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) chairman Kaesang Pangarep will accompany his father, Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on a visit to Lampung from 26 to 28 June 2026. DPP PSI executive Bestari Barus confirmed the plan, stating that an advance team from the party had already arrived in Lampung. He noted that many party cadres would participate in the activities. ‘The chairman, and the advance team are already there, many of them. This is his first activity after declaring he is healthy,’ Bestari said via telephone on Thursday (25/6). Bestari will also join Jokowi’s visit to Lampung. However, he was unsure whether PSI’s daily chairman Ahmad Ali would attend, as Ali was reportedly travelling to Yogyakarta. ‘Hopefully he can be seen there to liven things up,’ he added. Jokowi is set to begin his political safari to several regions on Friday (26/6). Over three days, he is scheduled to attend PSI events and invitations from volunteers and the public in Lampung. On the first day, Friday (26/6), Jokowi will attend a PSI Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) in Mesuji, followed by another Rakorda in Tulang Bawang, and then a Gajah Carnival Cultural Parade. On Saturday (27/6), he will meet with Lampung traditional leaders, visit the Transmigration Museum and Bagelen Village, tour MSMEs in Maliosewu, and attend a volunteer event. On the final day, Sunday (28/6), Jokowi is scheduled to attend a cultural parade, meet MSMEs, and visit the Nurul Qodiri Islamic Boarding School.
