Kaesang Pangarep Seeks Blessings from Islamic Scholar During PSI Ramadan Tour
The General Chairman of the Solidarity Indonesia Party (PSI) Democratic People’s Consultative Assembly (DPP), Kaesang Pangarep, continued the PSI’s Ramadan Safari series by visiting Pondok Pesantren An-Nur, led by KH Yasin Nawawi, in Bantul, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday evening (11 March).
During the visit, Kaesang arrived alongside the Daily Chairman of the PSI DPP Ahmad Ali and officials from the PSI Regional Board (DPW) of Yogyakarta. This agenda formed part of the party’s Ramadan fellowship activities and served as a spiritual moment for party members.
Before KH Yasin Nawawi, Kaesang requested prayers of blessing so that PSI would remain on the correct path in conducting political activities.
“Our intention is to seek prayers of blessing, prayers so that our path improves, the path becomes straighter, without any deviations. If there are any deviations, we are asking for advice from the religious scholar,” Kaesang stated.
Furthermore, he also requested prayers for all PSI members who are currently struggling alongside the party.
“So, Pak Kiai, once again we request your prayers of blessing and prayers for our PSI friends,” he added.
Meanwhile, PSI Daily Chairman Ahmad Ali emphasised that the Ramadan Safari activity was not a political consolidation agenda. He stated that the visit was more focused on a spiritual journey and efforts to draw closer to Islamic scholars.
“Pak Kiai, as mentioned by the General Chairman earlier, our journey this time is a spiritual journey; if I may say so, this is not political consolidation,” he said.
