Kaesang Leads Regional Coordination Meeting in Lampung, PSI: We Prove This Region is an Elephant Stronghold

Bandar Lampung – Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep, attended the Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorwil) held at Hotel Emersia in Bandar Lampung. He arrived in Lampung on Sunday, 19 April 2026. The youngest son of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo was welcomed by the party’s central to local executives. The PSI Lampung Provincial Board (DPW) claimed to be ready to strengthen the party’s structure down to the lowest levels, including villages and polling stations (TPS). Chairman of the PSI Lampung DPW, Achmad Ridho Julian, stated that almost all executives would attend the event. “For the attendance of executives, God willing, almost all will be present. Except for a few who are unable to attend. With this Rakorwil, we prove that Lampung is an elephant stronghold,” said Ridho. He added that the enthusiasm of PSI cadres in Lampung was very high in welcoming the event. Even access to the venue was made limited. “The cadres are very enthusiastic. God willing, it will run smoothly. Only those with party membership cards can enter the venue, not outsiders. Even sympathiser masses cannot enter because it is truly limited,” said Ridho. The Rakorwil itself was divided into two main agendas. The first session was an internal activity involving verification of management at the regency/city to sub-district levels. This process was led by the Chairman of the PSI Central Board (DPP) for Witnesses, Benediktus Papa, to ensure the validity of the organisational structure in accordance with the decree (SK). Meanwhile, in the second session, Kaesang Pangarep was scheduled to directly inaugurate the executives of the PSI DPW and District Boards (DPD) across Lampung Province. Ridho is confident that this Rakorwil will become an important momentum in fully mobilising the party’s machinery in the Lampung region.
