Kaesang Instructs PSI Ranks to Establish Structures Down to Village Level: Directive from Board of Trustees

PSI General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep has instructed the party’s ranks to establish organisational structures down to the village level. He stated that this is a directive from the Board of Trustees.

He initially discussed the Regional Representative Councils (DPW) and District Representative Councils (DPD) of PSI. He mentioned that several DPW and DPD of PSI are led by former cadres from other parties.

“NTB is already good even though the chairman is new, right? Where is NTB? The NTB Chairman is a former secretary of the neighbouring party,” Kaesang said while opening the PSI consolidation at a hotel in the Slipi area, West Jakarta, on Sunday (12/4/2026).

The PSI DPD Chairman for NTB is Halalu Budi Suryata, who previously came from PDIP. In addition, the PSI DPW Chairman for South Sumatra, Heri Amalindo, is a former PDIP cadre and former Regent of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir.

“Where is South Sumatra? Oh, there, there’s one too, former neighbouring party, right? Previously in the same party as the NTB Chairman. What party, ask the NTB Chairman yourself,” he explained.

Kaesang outlined that the formation of PSI District Executive Boards (DPC) has reached 74%. According to him, this figure is already substantial.

“For me, this is a very, very good achievement, because when I first led this party, everything was still empty, even many DPDs were still vacant. But alhamdulillah, now we already have sub-districts, representation in sub-districts, and more than 5,000,” he said.

Kaesang stated that PSI will form management at the village level. This target will be pursued to meet the Board of Trustees’ directive.

“After this is the formation of DPRT, meaning formation at the village level. This is what we must immediately pursue because one of the directives from the Board of Trustees is for us to be able to form this party’s structures down to the village level,” he said.

Kaesang emphasised that forming management down to the village level is PSI’s target for contesting the 2029 Elections. They will start preparing it from now.

“Our target is, if possible, by the end of this year, everything is completed down to the village level, so that in 2029 we are ready to go to war. But don’t forget, before we are ready to go to war in 2029, in 2027 we must first be ready for verification,” he said.
