Kaesang inaugurates PSI's Central Papua regional board
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of the PSI Central Executive Board, Kaesang Pangarep, officially inaugurated the leadership of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Central Papua Regional Leadership Council (DPW) in Nabire, Central Papua, on Thursday.
An official statement from the PSI Central Executive Board in Jakarta stated that the event was lively and full of enthusiasm, attended by PSI cadres from the DPW to District Leadership Councils across Central Papua, as well as community figures and party sympathisers.
In his speech, Kaesang expressed high appreciation for the spirit of PSI cadres in Central Papua who came from various areas, despite facing limitations in transportation access to Nabire.
“Many cadres still wanted to come to Nabire, but due to inadequate access and tickets, not everyone could attend. But the spirit present today must be spread throughout Central Papua,” said Kaesang.
He also highlighted the figure of the Chairman of the PSI Central Papua DPW, Isaias Douw, who is considered to have a strong character and great enthusiasm in building the party in the region.
“Usually, the chairman’s recommendation comes through Mr Beny. For Mr Isaias, it came directly from Mr Jokowi himself,” he revealed, met with applause from the cadres.
On that occasion, Kaesang also motivated all PSI cadres to work hard in facing the 2029 Elections.
He is optimistic that PSI can become a new political force in Central Papua.
“I ask that in 2029 we become the winners here,” he asserted.
“I am Jokowi of Central Papua,” said Isaias Douw while waving the PSI flag, met with enthusiastic applause.
According to Isaias, development in Papua, especially Central Papua, is inseparable from the great attention of the central government under Jokowi’s leadership.
He cited the construction of hospitals and various public facilities as concrete evidence of that commitment.
Isaias called on all PSI Central Papua cadres to strengthen consolidation and work hard in facing the 2029 Elections.
“We must work hard; our targets are seats in the Central Papua DPRD, DPR of Central Papua, up to the DPR RI,” said Isaias.
