Kadin Praises Prabowo's Leadership: Highly Visionary and Strategic

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) considers the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto to be oriented towards accelerating policy implementation and transformation across various sectors. This assessment was made by the Vice Chairman and Coordinator for Foreign Affairs of Kadin Indonesia, James Riady, following a meeting between Kadin representatives from across Indonesia and President Prabowo at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Friday, 31 July 2026.

James stated that the government’s policy direction is designed to prepare Indonesia’s position to face future challenges. “I believe it is a leadership that is very visionary, very strategic, and very clear,” James said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta.

According to James, the government is also demonstrating the courage to execute various transformation agendas simultaneously, with an emphasis on programme implementation and achieving results. He cited several key policies, including food self-sufficiency, energy security, industrial downstreaming, the development of public housing, and medical education reform.

James also noted that the government’s economic diplomacy is contributing to increased confidence among global technology companies to establish partnerships with Indonesia. Furthermore, he welcomed the formation of Danantara as an instrument capable of strengthening synergy between the government, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), and the private sector.

James described this approach as an “entrepreneur presidency,” a leadership style that emphasises vision, pragmatism, and decisiveness in decision-making to realise the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision.
