The General Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, has launched the ‘We Buy From Indonesia’ export platform to map national supply chains and expand the presence of Indonesian products in the global market. The launch was announced by Anindya during a meeting between KADIN central and regional entrepreneurs and President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.

‘Mr President, we would like to present an initiative titled “We Buy From Indonesia”. This is not merely a catalogue, but a technology and trade platform,’ he stated. According to Anindya, various Indonesian-made products are already integrated into the supply chains of global companies, spanning sectors such as automotive, aerospace, furniture, and consumer goods.

KADIN developed the platform based on mapping Indonesian trade data. Out of a total annual export value of approximately US$300 billion, about US$240 billion originates from various commodities and products excluding coal, stainless steel, and palm oil. Through this platform, KADIN maps the supply chains of export products and the companies involved to make opportunities for export increases easier to identify.

Anindya noted that the effort aims to increase purchases from existing customers while simultaneously expanding the capacity of domestic producers to meet global market demand. He added that the ‘We Buy From Indonesia’ publication is compiled in Indonesian, English, and Mandarin. KADIN is also coordinating with the Ministry of Trade to ensure the data used is accurate and can serve as a reference for national export development.
