Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the National Housing Development Corporation (Perumnas) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation to support housing programmes whilst strengthening an integrated and sustainable ecosystem.

Kadin Indonesia’s Deputy Coordinating Chairperson for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Carmelita Hartoto, stated in Jakarta on Monday that the collaboration reflects Kadin’s active role in supporting the national strategic agenda, particularly in the housing sector.

“Through this collaboration, we want to ensure that the housing needs of our members and the business ecosystem can be effectively connected with Perumnas’s products and programmes,” said Carmelita.

According to her, the partnership formalised in Jakarta on Friday (20 February 2026) represents a strategic step in strengthening synergies between the state-owned housing enterprise and the national business community to accelerate the provision of affordable, sustainable, and inclusive housing for the Indonesian public.

Under the MoU, both parties agreed to explore various areas of cooperation, including housing funding programmes and financing schemes, education and marketing of Perumnas’s Business-to-Business (B2B) Home Ownership Programme (HOP) to Kadin members, special selling prices and sales incentives, collaboration on land utilisation and development, and strengthening the housing ecosystem through policy support and regulatory facilitation to maintain a balance between supply and demand.

Meanwhile, Perumnas Acting President Director Imelda Alini Pohan stated that the partnership with Kadin opens opportunities for broader market access whilst encouraging innovation in financing schemes that are more adaptive for workers and business operators.

The collaboration, she continued, represents a joint commitment to building a more integrated, inclusive, and sustainable housing ecosystem through strengthened financing, improved access to home ownership, and optimised cooperation between state-owned enterprises and the business community.

Additionally, Perumnas will promote the implementation of HOP to Kadin’s members, employees, and affiliates through various joint agendas and forums.

To enhance the programme’s appeal, Perumnas will also offer special selling prices and sales incentives upon the realisation of transactions through Kadin’s network.

The MoU is valid for one year and may be extended by mutual agreement, whilst technical and commercial provisions will be further regulated in a separate cooperation agreement.
