KA Bathara Forced to Stop in Solo Due to Land Cruiser Parked Too Close to Tracks
The Head of the Solo City Transportation Department, Taufiq Muhammad, explained that the incident occurred on Tuesday (28/4) afternoon when the KA Bathara Kresna was travelling from Wonogiri towards Purwosari Station. His office received a report from the towing team about a vehicle obstructing the route. “Earlier, the towing team reported a car parked not far enough forward. So the rear part would still be hit if the train passed (potentially damaged). (How many exceeded?) One, that Land Cruiser,” Taufiq said when contacted. Taufiq stated that the Toyota Land Cruiser from Jakarta was initially going to be towed but was ultimately just repositioned. It is known that the vehicle belonged to a tourist visiting the area. “The train operator requested a stop for towing the car. But (the unit) was not taken to the Transportation Department office, only its parking position was moved. It belongs to a tourist guest visiting Kampung Batik Kauman,” he revealed. The towing action was taken because the owner was not at the location during the incident. Additionally, based on the investigation, the owner parked the vehicle when the parking attendant was not yet on duty at that post.
