K3 Corruption Trial: Funds Flowing to "Sultan Kemnaker" Reaches Rp 75 Billion
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The trial for alleged corruption and extortion in the processing of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) certification at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) revealed that the flow of non-technical fees from Occupational Safety and Health Service Companies (PJK3) to Kemnaker parties reached Rp 75 billion.
Irvian Bobby Mahendro, the Coordinator for K3 Institutional and Personnel Affairs at Kemnaker for 2022–2025, came under scrutiny for his role in the case.
Irvian Bobby was even nicknamed “Sultan Kemnaker” due to his position as coordinator in the vortex of K3 certification extortion practices.
“Total of everything is Rp 75,294,750,000, approximately like that,” said the prosecutor during the trial at the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (6/5/2026).
In front of the panel of judges, Bobby admitted that he never precisely calculated the total funds received.
However, he mentioned an estimate of a large amount of money stored in several accounts.
“The total was never calculated. However, the estimated non-technical money in IIN and Nova’s accounts is around Rp 58 billion,” said Bobby in front of the panel of judges.
“I transfer to my wife, monthly money around Rp 15 million to Rp 25 million from non-technical money,” he explained.
He also revealed that several items had been seized by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), from vehicles to other assets.
In addition, Bobby explained that non-technical funds were also used to purchase vehicles, which could be sold at any time to meet certain needs, including requests from superiors.
“So the non-technical money, I bought vehicles with it because when there is a need from the leadership, that’s the car I sell,” he explained.
“As I explained yesterday when there was a request for money of Rp 3 billion,” he said.
