Justice minister to review legislation
JAKARTA: Minister of Justice and Human Rights Hamid Awaluddin said on Thursday he would review a number of regulations and pieces of legislation that the business community had been complaining about.
"Economic recovery is the most important thing. Therefore, the review of regulations and legislation relating to the economy is a priority," he said.
Hamid said he had talked to members of the Indonesian Chambers of Commerce regarding his plan. But, he required more information from businesspeople as to which regulations and laws they considered harmful to business.
However, Hamid said he would also take into account the interests of the general public.
