Justice Collaborator Application by Sony Sonjaya Becomes Focus of AGO Examination Today

The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has begun to delve into the application for justice collaborator (JC) status submitted by former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sonjaya, in the alleged corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) for the 2025-2026 period. This emerged during Sony’s examination as a suspect at the Round Building of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), AGO, Jakarta, on Thursday, 18 June 2026. The Director of Investigations at Jampidsus, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that all material related to Sony’s case is the focus of investigators, including the previously submitted JC application. “All material, including that (the justice collaborator application),” he said on Thursday. According to Syarief, this examination is the second for Sony since he was named a suspect. On the same day, no other suspects underwent questioning. “Only Sony,” he said. Separately, the Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, mentioned that investigators also examined six witnesses to complete the case file for the alleged MBG corruption. “Only SS was examined today. And six witnesses were examined today in the MBG case,” Anang stated. It is known that AGO investigators named three former BGN officials as suspects on 3 June 2026: former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana (DH), former Deputy Head of BGN for Organisational Development and Institutional Support Lodewyk Pusung (LP), and former Deputy Head of BGN for Operational Nutrition Fulfilment Sony Sonjaya (SS). A fourth suspect, Asep Yusuf Somantri (AYS), a private party involved in locating SPPG kitchen sites, was named on 6 June 2026. Subsequently, a fifth suspect, Andri Mulyono, Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal (YAT), was named on 12 June 2026 for involvement in the procurement of goods and services at BGN, specifically electric motorcycles.
