Jurong wins contract

SINGAPORE (Reuter): Jurong Engineering Ltd said yesterday it
had won additional contracts in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia
worth more than Singapore $40 million.

It said in a statement its unit PT Jurong Engineering Lestari
was currently working on a boiler construction project in
Indonesia worth S$44 million.

It has now received a further order for building a steam
turbine generator including piping prefabrication.

Thai Jurong Engineering Ltd, also a subsidiary, will be
working on a power project in Map Ta Phut, Thailand.

Equator Engineering Sdn Bhd, an associate of the company, will
begin work on a fertilizer plant in Kedah state, Malaysia.

Jurong Engineering did not indicate the specific value of the
Thai and Malaysian projects.
