Junior tennis c'ships begin

SEMARANG (JP): The organizing committee expects 300 junior tennis players to take part in the Rp 13.5 million (US$1,170) Martina Cup national junior tennis championships.

"The championships start on Tuesday at the Sasana Ambirawa Raga sports hall in Ambarawa, Central Java, for boys and girls in singles and doubles events," the chairman of the organizing committee, Suhartono Lenggono, said on Monday.

"There are four age groups in the championships: under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18," he said. (har)
