Junior High School Girl in Bandung Gang-Raped by Six Men After Being Plied with Alcohol

A junior high school student, identified by the initial P, was gang-raped by six men at a house in the Sapan area of Bandung Regency, West Java. The victim became acquainted with one of the perpetrators through social media. Reyraya Respati, a representative of the victim’s legal counsel, stated that the victim first met one of the perpetrators online. He said the perpetrator invited the victim to meet after communicating via WhatsApp messages. He continued that the victim and the perpetrator met for the first time, followed by a subsequent meeting on 29 June. However, at the meeting location, the victim was sexually assaulted by six men, one of whom was the perpetrator she had met on social media. ‘The victim was taken to a house and then sexually assaulted by six people,’ he said on Friday. He added that the victim was forced to drink alcohol until she lost consciousness. Afterwards, the perpetrators committed indecent acts against the victim in the house. Following the incident, he said the victim was released on the roadside and was only able to be contacted by her family later. The victim’s mobile phone was held by the perpetrators during the ordeal. After that, he said the victim’s family questioned her about the incident, and once it was explained, the family reported the matter to the police.
