Jumhur Hidayat Officially Inaugurated as Minister of Environment, Hanif Faisol as Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food
President Prabowo Subianto has officially inaugurated the Chairman of the All-Indonesian Confederation of Trade Unions (KSPSI), Jumhur Hidayat, as the Minister of Environment (LH). Meanwhile, Faisol Hanif, who was previously the Minister of Environment, has been reassigned to Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food.
The inauguration was held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026). Both were sworn in directly by Prabowo.
The event began with the singing of Indonesia Raya. It then proceeded with the reading of the presidential decree on the appointment of these officials.
Following that, the ceremony continued with the oath of office. Prabowo led the reading of the oath, which was followed by the officials being inaugurated.
“By God, I swear. That I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations to the best of my ability for the sake of my duty to the nation and state. That I, in carrying out my duties, will uphold the ethics of the position, work to the best of my ability with full responsibility,” said Prabowo.
This inauguration event was also attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani, and Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. In addition, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago; Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, and Immigration Yusril Ihza Mahendra; Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan; Coordinating Minister for Development Planning and Human Resources Pratikno; Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Affairs Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY); Coordinating Minister for Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid; Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto; Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia; TNI Chief General Agus Subianto; and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo were present.
