Jumhur Hidayat Arrives at Presidential Palace, Set to Become Environment Minister?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The head of the National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (2007-2014), Jumhur Hidayat, was observed heading to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026). Based on gathered information, Jumhur is to be inaugurated as the Minister of Environment. However, he refrained from commenting extensively despite wearing a black suit, black peci, and a light blue tie. Jumhur claimed he was only fulfilling an invitation from the Presidential Palace. “Let’s wait, don’t jump the gun, it might change, it’s not good,” he said. Nevertheless, Jumhur stated he would attend the inauguration. When pressed, he did not confirm whether he would take the position of Minister of Environment. “Not sure exactly,” Jumhur remarked. “There are many tasks and we must work hard to complete them,” he added.
