Juice Stall Employee in Cengkareng Arrested After Stealing Boss's Motorcycle

Police have arrested a man with the initial O, a juice stall employee who stole his own boss’s motorcycle on Jati Road, East Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Cengkareng Police Chief AKP Rahis Fadhillah confirmed the arrest, stating the case was uncovered after the victim reported the incident, which was also captured on CCTV. The theft began when another employee parked the vehicle in front of the stall on 10 June 2026 at around 8 p.m. local time. At approximately 10 p.m., CCTV recorded the suspect making off with the motorcycle. The suspect took advantage of the situation, seeing that the complainant was busy serving customers at the time. Following the report, the Criminal Investigation Unit immediately went to the scene to investigate and review the CCTV footage. Based on their inquiries, officers tracked the perpetrator to the Kapuk area in Cengkareng. On 18 June 2026, police successfully apprehended suspect O and recovered the motorcycle as evidence. During questioning, the suspect admitted to stealing his boss’s motorcycle, citing economic necessity to support his family. Police confirmed the suspect is not a repeat offender and his urine test was negative for drugs. He is being charged under Article 477 for aggravated theft.
