Jakarta — The Judicial Commission (KY) has scheduled an ethics examination of the Chief and Deputy Chief of Depok District Court (PN Depok), who have been named as suspects in an alleged bribery offence by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), for Friday (13 March).

Abhan, Head of the Judicial Commission’s Supervision and Investigation Division, stated that the organisation had only recently received a time slot from the KPK to conduct the ethics examination of the two judges who have already been dismissed by the Supreme Court.

“We have naturally been coordinating with the KPK for some time, since their initial press conference. Only now have we been given a time slot for tomorrow. Tomorrow we will conduct an examination of the two judges,” Abhan said during a joint breaking of fast event with the media in South Jakarta on Thursday.

He stated that the KY respects the legal process currently underway at the KPK and that it is within the KY’s authority to conduct oversight regarding judicial conduct and ethics.

He noted that the ethics process in the Depok District Court case is ongoing. Today, the KY team examined three witnesses.

“Today we have also conducted an examination involving the court bailiff and two external parties. Today we examined three witnesses. The examination was conducted by our subdirectorate team,” he said.

As for tomorrow’s examination, he said, it will be conducted against I Wayan Eka Marianta as Chief of PN Depok and his deputy Bambang Setyawan.

“Tomorrow we will conduct an examination of the chief and deputy chief of (PN Depok) who have been suspended by the Supreme Court,” Abhan said.

The examination, he said, is scheduled for Friday (13 March) at 08.00 WIB at KPK headquarters.

“Tomorrow I myself will be present and Deputy Dismi has been scheduled to conduct the examination at 8 o’clock tomorrow at the KPK,” he said.

Previously, on 5 February 2026, the KPK conducted a hand-catch operation against judges in the Depok City area, West Java. The KPK explained that the operation was related to alleged corruption in the handling of a land dispute case.

On 6 February 2026, the KPK revealed that it had arrested seven people in the operation, consisting of the Chief and Deputy Chief of PN Depok, one person from PN Depok, one director and three employees of PT Karabha Digdaya, which is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance.

The KPK subsequently named five of the seven people as suspects in the alleged corruption case related to the receipt or promise of payment in the handling of a land dispute in the Depok District Court area, measuring 6,500 square metres in Tapos District.

They are Chief of PN Depok I Wayan Eka Marianta (EKA), Deputy Chief of PN Depok Bambang Setyawan (BBG), Court Bailiff of PN Depok Yohansyah Maruanaya (YOH), Director of Karabha Digdaya Trisnadi Yulrisman (TRI), and Head of Corporate Legal Karabha Digdaya Berliana Tri Kusuma (BER).

Additionally, the KPK named Bambang as a suspect in an alleged gratification offence after obtaining data from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), which concerned the receipt of 2.5 billion rupiah from PT Daha Mulia Valasindo.
