The panel of judges at the Military Court II-08 in Jakarta plans to visit the acid attack victim, Deputy Coordinator of KontraS Andri Yunus, who is currently receiving hospital treatment.

The presiding judge, Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian, stated that this measure is necessary because Andri is still undergoing intensive care following the incident.

“If he still cannot attend, we can use video conference; otherwise, we will go there ourselves. We will conduct the examination at the location,” Fredy said during the court session at the Military Court II-08 on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

Military Prosecutor Lieutenant Colonel Corps Hukum (Chk) TNI Muhammad Iswadi explained that Andri Yunus did not attend the witness examination hearing because he is still scheduled for surgery.

“Because he is still due to undergo medical procedures planned by the doctor for his necessary treatment. Information from LPSK,” Iswadi clarified.

“Is there medical treatment today? Still surgery or care?” the judge asked.

“Information from LPSK: skin graft surgery,” the prosecutor replied.

Previously, four TNI personnel were charged with splashing acid on Andri Yunus in Central Jakarta.

The four defendants are Sergeant Two Edi Sudarko, First Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto Widhi, Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetya, and First Lieutenant Sami Lakka.

The motive was that they were offended by Andri interrupting a meeting discussing revisions to the TNI Law at the Fairmont Jakarta Hotel on 16 March 2025.

The four defendants are charged with multiple articles: primary charge under Article 469 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, subsidiary under Article 468 paragraph (1), and further subsidiary under Articles 467 paragraphs (1) and (2), in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023.
