Judge Suspends Detention of 3 NTB DPRD Members in Phantom Money Case
The Corruption Court panel in Mataram has granted the request for suspension of detention for three legislators who are defendants in the gratifications case of phantom money involving members of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) DPRD.
“Granting the defendants’ request. Suspending the detention of the defendants starting from 13 May 2026,” said member judge I Made Gede Trisnajaya Susila in the courtroom of the Mataram Corruption Court on Wednesday (13/5/2026).
The three defendants are Hamdan Kasim, Indra Jaya Usman, and Muhammad Nashib Ikroman. The panel of judges assessed that all three had been cooperative during the trial proceedings.
Additionally, the detention period for the defendants at the Mataram District Court level has also ended. It is known that the 90-day extension of detention at the Mataram District Court ended on 13 May 2026.
Presiding Judge Dewi Santini reminded the three defendants to remain cooperative after the detention was suspended. They were also asked to attend the trial according to the established schedule.
“I remind you to remain cooperative and to attend the trial according to the established schedule,” said Dewi Santini.
The panel of judges also emphasised that the trial would continue if the defendants did not attend or fled.
“You must not be absent. If you are absent or flee, we will still conduct the trial in absentia. We will still hold the trial in absentia without your presence,” she said.
In this gratifications case, Indra Jaya Usman and Muhammad Nashib Ikroman have been in detention since 20 November 2025. Meanwhile, Hamdan Kasim was detained starting from 24 November 2025.
All three were detained after being named as suspects by the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office.
