Judge Rejects Objections from 3 NTB DPRD Members in 'Phantom Money' Gratuity Case
The Corruption Court (Tipikor) panel in Mataram has rejected the objections or exceptions submitted by three members of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) DPRD. These three legislators are the defendants in the gratuity case of ‘phantom money’ within the NTB DPRD scope.
“It is stated that the objections from the defendants’ legal counsel are not accepted,” said the panel of judges chaired by Dewi Santini on Thursday (2/4/2026).
The three defendants are Hamdan Kasim, Indra Jaya Usman, and Muhammad Nashib Ikroman alias Acip. With the rejection of the objections submitted in the previous hearing, the case involving these three defendants will proceed with the agenda of witness examination.
“The public prosecutor is ordered to continue the examination of the case against the defendants,” the judge stated.
According to the judge, the objection note submitted by the defendants falls within the merits of the case. The judge assessed that the indictment outlined by the prosecutor was meticulous and complete.
“According to the panel, the public prosecutor has compiled the indictment meticulously and clearly,” he revealed.
The judge decided that the next hearing will be held on Thursday (9/4) next week. The agenda for the subsequent hearing is the examination of witnesses from the public prosecutor.
Previously, the defendants were charged with giving bribes to several other NTB DPRD members totaling Rp 2.6 billion. They are charged under Article 605 paragraph (1) letter a and/or letter b and/or Article 606 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 605 letter a of Law Number 1 of 2026 on Penal Adjustment in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 on Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
