Judge Highlights Uniform Differences Among Three TNI Members in Trial for BUMN Bank Branch Head's Death Case
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Three soldiers from the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) underwent the first hearing in the case of the death of the head of a state-owned bank branch, Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta on Monday (6/4/2026). The three defendants, namely Serka Mochamad Nasir, Kopda Feri Herianto, and Serka Franky Yari, entered the courtroom wearing military service uniforms. Mochamad Nasir and Feri Herianto were seen wearing red Kopassus berets, while Franky Yari wore a PDL (Field Service Uniform) cap. The hearing commenced around 10:00 WIB with identity checks by the Chief Judge of the Panel, Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto. “All right, defendants, are you in good health this time?” he asked. After the identity check, the judge highlighted the differences in the uniforms worn by the defendants. Franky Yari appeared to be wearing a long-sleeved PDL uniform with a cap, while the other two defendants had rolled-up sleeves and wore berets. “Why is this different, one with long sleeves, the other two with rolled-up sleeves,” asked the Chief Judge of the Panel, Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto, in the courtroom on Monday (6/4/2026). The legal counsel then added that the uniform worn by Franky Yari was in accordance with the latest Kopassus regulations, namely that the shirt sleeves should not be rolled up. “Yes, according to the latest regulations, the PDL uniform should not have rolled-up sleeves,” replied the legal counsel. “Why are they different, aren’t they still detained together? If possible, uniformise their clothing,” stated Judge Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto. The Head of the Military Prosecutor’s Office (Kaotmil) II-07 Jakarta, Colonel Chk Andri Wijaya, then explained that defendant Franky Yari was not detained, hence the difference in uniform usage. Previously, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of Metro Jaya Police had announced the investigation results regarding Ilham’s death on Tuesday (16/9/2025).
