Judge Grants TAUD Lawsuit Regarding Andrie Yunus Acid Attack Case

The single judge, Suparna, ordered the Respondent to continue the legal process regarding police report number LP/A/222/III/2036/Satreskrim/Restro Jakpus/Polda Metro Jaya, dated 13 March 2026, while delivering the verdict at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (2/6/2026). The judge stated that TAUD possesses the legal standing to file the pretrial motion and instructed the Metro Jaya Regional Police to proceed with the investigation into the acid splashing case.

For context, there were initially two separate reports regarding the acid attack on Andrie Yunus being handled by the police. One report was initially received by the Metro Jaya Regional Police, while the second was received by the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri). Subsequently, Bareskrim Polri transferred the case to the Metro Jaya Regional Police due to similarities in the location and timing of the incidents.

Separately, the acid attack case against Andrie Yunus is currently being tried at the Jakarta Military Court, with four soldiers serving as defendants. The four defendants are Serda Edi Sudarko, Lettu Budhi Hariyanto Widhi, Kapten Nandala Dwi Prasetyo, and Lettu Sami Lakka.
