Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – The panel of judges at the Central Jakarta District Court has converted the detention of Lokataru Foundation Director Delpedro Marhaen, Lokataru Foundation staff member Muzaffar Salim, and @gejayanmemanggil admin Syahdan Husein to city arrest in connection with protest demonstrations.

Delpedro and associates are defendants in a case of alleged incitement related to August demonstrations that led to riots.

“So, all three have had their detention converted to city arrest under the conditions that have been set,” said presiding judge Harika Nova Yeri during the hearing at the Central Jakarta District Court on Friday (13/2).

The judge instructed the defendants to continue reporting and to appear in the morning for trial proceedings. The next hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

“Now that the detention has been converted, there should be no more tardiness,” the judge said.

During the ongoing proceedings, the defendants were reportedly once prevented by prosecutors from appearing at the morning hearing. Prosecutors were said to have been late in picking up the defendants from Salemba Detention Center.

“Maintain this trust,” the judge said.

Delpedro, Muzaffar, Syahdan, and University of Riau student and Aliansi Mahasiswa Menggugat (Student Alliance Demands) admin Khariq Anhar have been charged in a case of alleged incitement related to August demonstrations that led to riots.

However, the charges related to ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup (SARA) offenses during the August incident were dropped for failing to meet the formal and material requirements of the indictment.
