Juanda Station Returns to Normal Operations After Temporary Opening-Closing Measures

Juanda KRL Station, located in Central Jakarta, has returned to normal operations. The station had previously implemented opening and closing measures as a response to significant passenger overcrowding.

Observations at the location on Sunday (20/09/2026) at 15:00 WIB showed that staff are no longer stationed around the stairs leading to the upper-level platforms. Passengers are now able to proceed to the platforms without obstruction.

Passenger queues are no longer visible around the station area. Commuters arriving from the Juanda Transjakarta Bus Stop towards the Juanda Street area can now enter Juanda Station smoothly.

Previously, Juanda KRL Station experienced overcrowding, necessitating the temporary opening and closing protocols. Karina Amanda, VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commando Indonesia (KCI), explained that the passenger density was due to two major events held near the station.

“Today there were two activities: an event at Istiqlal Mosque and the TNI Fair at Monas. This resulted in an increased volume of passengers at Juanda Station, which is the nearest station to both event locations,” Karina explained when contacted on Sunday (20/09).
