The second wave embarkation phase for prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) began departing from Juanda International Airport to King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah on Thursday (7/5/2026).

This second wave embarkation will run from 7 to 21 May 2026, involving 60 kloters from kloter 57 to kloter 116.

“A total of 1,900 JCH in kloters 57 to 61 will depart on Thursday (7/5/2026) using Saudia Airlines aircraft,” said Muhammad Tohir, General Manager of Juanda International Airport, in a press statement on Thursday (7/5/2026).

The departure of kloter 59 involves 376 JCH from the Surabaya City, Sidoarjo Regency, Mojokerto Regency, Gresik Regency, and Kediri Regency areas.

“Juanda International Airport has begun serving the second wave embarkation. On 7 May 2026, there are five kloters for the second wave embarkation with flights at 08:15, 10:15, 14:40, 18:20, and 19:15 WIB, flying directly from Surabaya to Jeddah,” he explained.

“Alhamdulillah, the embarkation services at Juanda International Airport have been running smoothly so far,” he added.

“We are also providing special attention to elderly JCH by preparing elevator/lift access, wheelchairs, and special escorts,” he said.

“In addition, to facilitate the arrival process in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Arabia immigration service, namely Makkah Route, is now available at Juanda International Airport,” Tohir continued.

He further stated that Juanda International Airport has prepared security and operational personnel ready to provide services during the Hajj embarkation period.

Security checks on JCH and their luggage, as well as immigration and customs processes before the flight, have been conducted since the Haji Dormitory in Sukolilo.

“Safety, security, and comfort of the pilgrims are always our priority so that the pilgrims can perform Hajj worship smoothly,” he said.

Meanwhile, service facilities and personnel have been ensured ready since the first wave embarkation, which took place from 22 April to 6 May 2026, including the readiness of the departure route for JCH from the Hajj dormitory to the airport.

During the first wave embarkation, Juanda International Airport served 56 kloters departing to Madinah, with a total of 21,246 JCH.
