Karawang (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) on Friday operated 22 toll gates at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT Cikatama) to serve vehicles heading towards Jakarta following the implementation of one-way traffic on the Trans Java Toll road section.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated in Karawang, West Java, on Friday that JTT is optimising services at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate to support the gradual local one-way traffic engineering on the Trans Java Toll road section, in order to ease density during the Eid return flow.

The local one-way traffic engineering was previously implemented gradually, starting from KM 132 of the Cikopo–Palimanan Toll Road section to KM 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road section at 08:47 WIB.

Subsequently, at 10:23 WIB, the precise local one-way traffic engineering was expanded from KM 263 of the Pejagan–Pemalang Toll Road section to KM 70 of the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road section.

She stated that the traffic engineering is situational according to police discretion and will continue to be evaluated based on field conditions.

As a form of service optimisation, the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, as the final barrier receiving vehicles from the eastern Trans Java region, is currently operating 22 toll gates to serve traffic flow towards Jakarta.

JTT will also continue to make situational adjustments to toll gate operations, including increasing capacity to up to 26 gates to anticipate surges in traffic volume.

According to her, JTT has optimised all operational resources to support the smooth implementation of the traffic engineering.

“JTT fully supports the traffic engineering policy set by the police to ensure vehicle flow remains smooth and controlled,” she said.

Along with the increase in traffic volume during the Eid return period, they also ensure that on-site services remain optimal. Thus, road users can experience a safe and comfortable journey.

JTT ensures operational readiness through optimisation of field personnel, maximum toll gate operations, and additional transaction service support to speed up services at the toll gates.

Traffic condition monitoring is also conducted in real time through CCTV integrated with the information control centre.

In line with the implementation of the traffic engineering, JTT urges all Trans Java toll road users to anticipate travel routes in advance, ensure vehicle and driver conditions are in prime condition, and prepare sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road.

Road users are also expected to always obey traffic signs and follow instructions from field officers for collective safety and comfort.
