JTT Implements Open-Closed System for Rest Area at KM 424B Towards Jakarta, Regulates Rest Times
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is implementing an open-closed system at Rest Area KM 424B towards Jakarta on the Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, and C. This policy is applied situationally to anticipate vehicle density entering the rest area. The measure is also aimed at maintaining smooth traffic flow on the main route, especially when vehicle volumes increase. Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that access regulation at Rest Area KM 424B is based on on-site traffic conditions and coordination with the police. She also urged road users to manage their rest times to avoid vehicle build-ups in the area. “Visitors to Rest Area 424B are urged to manage their rest times so they can alternate with other visitors to maintain smoothness and order in the rest area,” she said. JTT also advises road users passing through the Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, and C to utilise other rest areas if Rest Area KM 424B is temporarily closed. Alternatives include Rest Area KM 360B and KM 389B on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road. Drivers are also expected to ensure vehicle condition and driver fitness are optimal, maintain safe distances, obey traffic signs, and follow instructions from on-site officers. Sufficiency of electronic money balance should also be checked before travelling. For the latest traffic information, road users can monitor via the Travoy application, JTT’s official social media, or contact the Jasa Marga One Call Center at 133.
