JTT Advises Road Users to Anticipate Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Maintenance
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is urging road users to anticipate travel times as routine maintenance works continue at several points on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road, as part of efforts to maintain infrastructure reliability and quality. Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the maintenance work is being carried out in scheduled stages without road closures but with situational traffic management around the work area. “We apologise for any potential inconvenience or traffic slowdowns that road users may experience during this maintenance work. We urge motorists to anticipate their travel time,” Ria Marlinda Paallo said in Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday. She explained that pavement reconstruction work commenced on Monday, 8 June, and is still ongoing on Lane 1 heading towards Jakarta at points from Km 15+400 to Km 15+269, and from Km 27+130 to Km 26+980, as well as at other work points progressively until Friday, 12 June. “We continuously strive to maintain the reliability of the road section through routine maintenance to ensure the toll road remains safe, comfortable, and reliable for road users,” she stated. The company, together with the police, is implementing situational traffic management to maintain the safety of road users and a smooth flow of vehicles while the works are underway. Safety equipment has been installed in accordance with operational standards, supported by information dissemination through Dynamic Message Signs, official Jasa Marga Group social media, and advisory banners around the work area. “We are also continuously working to minimise the impact of the work on traffic by ensuring all stages of the work are carried out effectively and in a coordinated manner,” she added. Ria also expressed appreciation and gratitude to all road users for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during the implementation of this road maintenance work. “Once again, we urge road users to plan their journeys well, ensure both their vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, maintain a safe distance, and comply with signs and directions from officers in the field,” she said.
