JTCC offers free workshop

YOGYAKARTA: Along with the development of tourism industry in the city, the professionalism of employees in the industry must also be upgraded and therefore the Gadjah Mada University's Jogjakarta Tourism Training Center (JTCC) is offering a free workshop for front office employees of non star-rated hotels in the city.

The workshop, jointly organized by the local municipality's tourism, art and cultural office, is scheduled for June 21 and June 22 to take place at Ruba Graha Hotel on Jl. Mangkuyudan. It will focus on the concept of service in the front office, said JTCC's general affairs manager Hairullah Gazali.

The front office department, he said, was considered important because it is directly related to the consumers and was also one of the main departments that colored the quality of the service in a hotel.

"The program is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of the human resources of non star-rated hotels that is developed from competence-based training of a national standard," said Hairullah. --JP
