JSX will not penalize Indosat, Mandiri
JAKARTA: PT Indosat, Indonesia's second-largest phone company,
and PT Bank Mandiri, the country's largest lender by assets, will
not be penalized for delaying the submission of their unaudited
first-half results, a director at the Jakarta Stock Exchange
(JSX) said.
"Both companies have told us about their intention to file
their audited financial results by the end of the month," said
Wan Wei Yiong, a director at the stock exchange. "They still have
until the end of September to submit their audited financial
results."
Wahid Sutopo, Indosat vice president for investor relations,
said the company would submit its first-half financial report on
Aug. 29.
Ekoputro Adijayanto, Mandiri corporate secretary, said the
lender would submit its results on Aug. 30. "We will hold a
public presentation on August 30 to announce the results," he
said.
Indosat, Bank Mandiri and 19 other publicly traded companies
on the JSX may be fined if they do not submit their first-half
financial reports by the end of the month. Companies that miss
the deadline may be fined Rp 50 million (US$5,025) if they do not
submit their financial statements this month. -- Bloomberg
