JSX to get computer terminals

JAKARTA (JP): PT Berca Hardayaperkasa will install at least 290 computer terminals in the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX), says a company executive.

Berca's president, Johannes A. Gianto, said on Friday his company will also install 30 other computer terminals in the Surabaya Stock Exchange (SSE) as part of the country's capital market computerization program.

"The trial operation will be carried out in January next year," he told Bisnis Indonesia as saying.

Early this year Berca won a contract worth around Rp 6.9 billion (US$3.28 million) to install computer terminals for the JSX, the SSE and the KDEI, the Indonesian securities depository and clearing agency.

Johannes said the Indonesian stock markets will have two systems of trading, one through a trading floor and another one through securities' galleries.(hen)
