JPO Tendean Hit by Truck, Trans-Jakarta Services Remain Normal

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Trans-Jakarta) management has confirmed that bus fleet operations along Jalan Raya Kapten Tendean, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, are running normally. Services are assured to be unaffected despite severe damage to the pedestrian bridge (JPO) in the area after it was hit by a towing truck in the early hours of Tuesday (14/7).

Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR at Trans-Jakarta, stated that two routes pass the incident location, namely 7Q Cawang Cililitan–Blok M and 6U Pasar Minggu–Blok M. Both routes remain operational as they use medium-sized bus fleets.

“Trans-Jakarta services are operating normally, serving customers while still prioritising safety and comfort. There are two routes passing through, 7Q Cawang Cililitan–Blok M and 6U Pasar Minggu–Blok M. Both routes use medium buses and can still pass safely,” Ayu said on Tuesday (14/7).

She emphasised that Trans-Jakarta continues to monitor conditions on the ground and coordinate with relevant agencies following the incident where the Kapten Tendean JPO was struck by a towing truck. This step is taken to ensure public transport operations continue to run smoothly without compromising passenger safety. Management also urged all customers to keep monitoring Trans-Jakarta’s official information channels for regular updates on bus operations in the affected corridor.
