DOWN SHE GOES: Black smoke billows from the KM Karunia Laut fishing vessel (left) after being deliberately fired on by two patrol ships, the KRI Sura and KRI Hiu, some 58 miles east of Surabaya, East Java. The KM Karunia Laut, which was manned by Thai fishermen, was intentionally sunk on Tuesday after being caught with 500 kilograms of fish illegally caught in the Java Sea.
