JPFA Sells Subsidiaries in India and Vietnam for Rp1.8 Trillion; Buyers Revealed
The poultry processing issuer, PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA), has sold its subsidiary, PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara, along with its business derivatives in India and Vietnam, for a value of Rp1.8 trillion.
The subsidiary was divested to the company’s controller, Japfa Pte Ltd, alongside its affiliate, Bionovus Pte Ltd. Japfa management explained that this divestment was based on several considerations, including enabling the company to focus on its core business, monetising assets, and reinvesting the returns from the development of Vaksindo over the past 18 years.
“The divestment of Vaksindo was carried out with several considerations, one of which is so that the company can focus more on developing its core business,” management stated in a prospectus, as quoted on Friday (2/10/2026).
Vaksindo is a company operating in the field of animal health, including the production of vaccines and veterinary pharmaceuticals, and also conducts supporting activities in livestock and trading.
A portion of the funds obtained from the transaction will be reused by JPFA to strengthen the company’s core business. This includes the development of feed milling, integrated poultry and aquaculture farming, and downstream meat and food product processing.
JPFA believes that such reinvestment can increase the capacity and overall business development of the company. The net proceeds from the sale of Vaksindo can also serve as a source of capital expenditure for the company.
“If the transaction were not executed, the funding requirements for such capex could not be met from internal funds resulting from the divestment,” management added.
