E. Timor 11 beats NTT in friendly

KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: A friendly soccer game was played
between East Timorese and their neighbors in West Timor on
Saturday.

Watched enthusiastically by President Xanana Gusmao, the East
Timorese team beat the Kupang team 3-1 in the game staged on the
NTT Police Headquarters field. Also present at the match were NTT
Governor Piet A. Tallo and NTT Police chief Jacki Uly.

East Timor's three goals came from captain Francisco Cabral
(8th, 52nd) and Holder Mota Ricardo (20th). The solitary goal by
the host came in the 25th, but Antara news agency did not name
the scorer.
