Street children sing during an event to mark World AIDS Day at
CWS Indonesia's SCORE House in Kemang, South Jakarta. The event
on Dec. 1 also marked the opening of a shelter for about 30
street children under the care of the Setia Kawan Mandiri (SEKAM)
organization. Themed "Keep the promise", the children
participated in various competitions during the event, including
a poetry reading contest and a quiz.

A number of General Electric (GE) employees and volunteers, in a
joint project with the Office of the State Minister for the
Environment and the Jakarta Forestry Agency, plant rare fruit
trees. About 500 seedlings were planted at the Cibubur camping
ground, East Jakarta, on Nov. 26 as part of the company's
community program, ECOmmunity.

Gading campus in East Jakarta display the awards they received in
recognition of their efforts to create an awareness of the
dangers of drugs and HIV/AIDS, and enforce a strict antidrug
policy in their schools. The awards were presented during a World
AIDS Day fund-raising dinner held by the Central Jakarta Rotary
Club on Dec. 1.
