Telkom's billing statement

From Koran Tempo

For months, the telecommunications company Telkom has been charging its customers Rp 1,000 a month for the sending of billing statements, which is categorized as a non- telecommunication service charge. In October, the charge will rise to Rp 1,500.

This must be stopped. Each time a customer pays the phone bill, he will always get the receipt, which has the same data as the billing statement. It is useless and, furthermore, it always comes late.

I suspect that this is just a trick to raise money. Just imagine, from one million customers, the enterprise can make some Rp 1 billion. What if they have 10 million customers? Telkom senior officers could pocket billions of rupiah very easily.

For days I have tried to contact Telkom through its number 0.800.1.22.2.222, to let them know of my objections, but to no avail. I can only conclude that this is just another trick employed by Telkom.

As some friends of mine and other parties have got a similar feeling, allow me to call on Telkom to stop trying to make a fool of its customers.
