Seven die in car crash: At least seven people were killed and
three others injured in a crash involving two buses and a truck
in Ngawi regency on Friday evening, police and witnesses said.
The collision took place in Karangbaru village, Widodaren
subdistrict, when a Dahlia bus tried to overtake a truck, but at
the same time another bus appeared at high speed from the
opposite direction. A collision was then inevitable, eyewitnesses
said. The overtaken truck also slammed into the rear of the
Dahlia bus. The seven dead included the drivers of the two ill-
fated buses. The crash caused a half-hour traffic jam at the
