JP Morgan hires Wirjawan for RI unit
SINGAPORE: JP Morgan Chase & Co., the second-biggest U.S.
bank, said it hired Gita Wirjawan as senior country officer and
head of investment banking in Indonesia, replacing Jonathan
Chang, who retired in June.
Wirjawan joins from Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte, a
unit of Temasek Holdings Pte, the city-state's investment unit,
where he helped lead the company's investments in Indonesia and
India, JPMorgan said in a statement. Prior to Singapore
Telemedia, he spent four years at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as a
senior banker.
Wirjawan "will further develop our Indonesian business,
advising corporations and government entities on a broad range of
financing and strategic issues," said Ralph Parks, JP Morgan's
chairman for Asia Pacific.
