A deserted section of Canti beach. Visitors can a bargain with
the local fishermen to charter a boat to explore some of the
outlying islands.

With a view of nearby Mt. Rajabasa, Merak Belantung beach fits in
perfectly with the wishes of those who want a secluded spot to
lie back, read a good book and take the occasional dip in the
warm, clear sea.

The beach at Marble Hill Strand on the west coast of Ireland is
long and gently sloping, and is backed by some wonderful sand
dunes that are perfect for rolling down or for taking shelter in
before sitting down for a picnic (photo above). New Zealand's
Kaiteriteri (photo below) is near a popular summer resort, and
there are shops, restaurants, playgrounds, boats for hire, even
mini-golf close by, as well as isolated stretches of sand.
