Journeys of two trains in Daop 4 cancelled due to KA Bangunkarta derailment
Semarang (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI in Daop 4 has cancelled the journeys of two trains due to the derailment of KA Bangunkarta at the platform of Bumiayu Station, Brebes Regency, Central Java, on Monday. “Two train journeys have been cancelled, namely KA Kamandaka on the Semarang-Purwokerto route and KA Joglosemarkerto on the Semarang-Solo route,” said the Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang, Luqman Arif, in Semarang on Monday. In addition to the cancellations, he continued, there are also changes to the operational patterns of train journeys due to the incident, namely rerouting several southern line trains. According to him, for the time being, there are 13 southern line train journeys that have been rerouted via the northern line. The trains whose journeys must be rerouted via the northern line include KA Joko Tingkir, KA Manahan, KA Gaya Baru Malam, KA Taksaka, KA Bima, KA Argo Dwipangga, KA Jayakarta, KA Gajayana, and KA Senja Utama. PT KAI, he continued, is committed to providing services to customers whose trains have been cancelled by refunding ticket purchase funds. In addition, the state-owned enterprise is also committed to ensuring the safety and smooth operation of trains, one of which is by changing routes via the northern line. He explained that all train traffic controllers and level crossing guards have been asked to anticipate the impact of these operational pattern changes. KA Bangunkarta on the Jombang-Pasar Senen route derailed at the platform of Bumiayu Station, Brebes Regency, Central Java, on Monday around 14:15 WIB. PT KAI is carrying out operational pattern engineering for train journeys due to the incident.
