Josepha, Participant in MPR Quiz Competition, Meets Gibran and Receives Motivation and Debate Tips

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Vice President (VP) of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming met with students from State Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Pontianak who participated in the Four Pillars of the MPR RI Quiz Competition at the West Kalimantan provincial level, including Josepha Alexandra or Ocha.

The meeting was held at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/5/2026) afternoon in a closed session and lasted around one hour.

“This serves as hope and motivation for us to keep moving forward and developing. During the meeting, we were given motivation by the VP to continue studying and achieving,” said Josepha after the meeting with Gibran.

Gibran also advised the students not to be swayed by circulating issues.

“We were given motivation and tips and tricks on how to do public speaking or debate in public,” she said.

Spotlight has emerged regarding allegations of unfairness where a group of participants answered a question correctly but were penalised by the judging panel with -5 points.

Then, the question was passed to another group, and that group gave the same answer but received 10 points.
