King Abdullah II took Prabowo to the airport in a Mercedes-Maybach from the Basman Palace, where the two had met, as the Chairman of the Gerindra Party was about to leave Jordan.

“The meeting took place in a friendly and warm atmosphere, reflecting the close bilateral relations between Indonesia and Jordan that have been established for a long time,” as stated in a statement from the Presidential Secretariat.

After the meeting, Prabowo departed for Marka Air Base. The President was scheduled to continue his foreign trip to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from Jordan.

King Abdullah II, who has been friends with Prabowo for a long time, took the Indonesian President to the airport by driving a black Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The same type of vehicle is often used by Prabowo during his foreign visits.

As broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s social media, King Abdullah was seen sitting in the driver’s seat of the ultra-luxury sedan during the trip from Basman Palace. Meanwhile, Prabowo sat in the passenger seat next to the King.

According to the Google Maps digital map application, Basman Palace is about 5.1 kilometers or a seven-minute drive from the Marka Air Base complex. Upon arrival at the airport, King Abdullah II personally saw off President Prabowo on the plane’s stairs. The two leaders were seen hugging before parting.

A number of members of the Jordanian Royal Family also saw off Prabowo’s departure. Among them were the Crown Prince of Jordan, Prince Al Hussein ibn Abdullah II, and a number of other Jordanian government officials. Also present were the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan, Ade Padmo Sarwono, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché to the Kingdom of Jordan, Colonel Dafris D. Syahruddin.

Four F-16 fighter jets from the Jordanian Air Force escorted Prabowo’s presidential plane after it took off from Marka Air Base. The escort planes accompanied President Prabowo until he left Jordanian airspace.

From Amman, President Prabowo continued his visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. During this working visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
