The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, has expressed his appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to advocating for a two-state solution in global conflicts. King Abdullah also praised Indonesia’s role in promoting peace in Palestine.

“The role of your nation, I believe, in all the challenges in the region is very important. I know how committed you are to the two-state solution, how much you value a positive future for the people,” said King Abdullah II in a statement received on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

King Abdullah II emphasised the efforts made by Indonesia to create peace, which he described as a very important step. He added that this holds deep meaning for the people of Jordan.

“This is something that, of course, warms our hearts. I know that you are committed to great peace and stability. And once again, your sincere commitment to protecting people, all of us, I think, is very important,” he concluded.

On this occasion, King Abdullah II also expressed Jordan’s readiness to support Indonesia’s role in these efforts. According to him, Indonesia has a strategic position, both politically and economically.

“I look forward to this discussion about how we can help our brothers and sisters in this endeavour,” he said.

Indonesia and Jordan have had close diplomatic relations for decades, encompassing various strategic areas from defence to investment. This historical closeness has further strengthened the fraternal relationship between the two countries.

“It is always a pleasure to meet you, especially in your second home in Jordan. I know that my people, your people, know that we have a very special fraternal relationship between us,” concluded King Abdullah II.
