Residents of Jombang, East Java, gathered along the route taken by President Prabowo Subianto as he travelled to the venue of the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress. They enthusiastically welcomed Prabowo’s arrival.

Prabowo arrived in Jombang on Thursday (27/8/2026) at around 15.00 WIB. From the moment he entered the Jombang area, public enthusiasm was evident along his journey to Untung Surapati Field at the Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School, the venue of the NU Congress.

On both sides of the road, residents lined up to welcome Prabowo’s motorcade. Children, adults and the elderly mingled with participants of the 35th NU Congress to catch a close-up glimpse of the head of state.

Some residents carried small Indonesian flags and waved them as Prabowo’s vehicle passed by, while others raised their hands and waved greetings towards him.

From the Maung vehicle he was riding in, Prabowo returned the welcome by waving to the crowd. He was seen turning to the left and right sides of the road to greet residents who had been waiting for his arrival.

The warmth of the reception was further felt when the Maung vehicle carrying Prabowo stopped briefly several times along the way. Prabowo then reached out and shook hands with residents standing at the roadside.

The brief moment was immediately met with enthusiasm from the public. Residents tried to get closer to shake his hand, while Prabowo continued to greet them before resuming his journey to the Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School.
